Word-filled Wednesday - Tower

The purpose of Word-filled Wednesday is to share God’s Word (no famous quotes or other literature—only the beautiful word of our Father) through photos & a Bible verse!

And they said,

Go to, let us build us a city and a tower,

whose top may reach unto heaven;

and let us make us a name,

lest we be scattered abroad

upon the face of the whole earth.

~ Genesis 11:4

This past Sunday, our 9-year-old son built this tower out of Lincoln Logs at my parents' home. He asked me to take pictures and include a verse for Word-filled Wednesday on the tower of Babel. To see more weekend pictures, please visit my family blog. To find more Word-filled Wednesdays, please visit Susan here.

amen.. nice tower built by your son.. On the tower of Babel, how we need to reminded that God does not want us to build a name of our own, as His name is beyond all names. Building a tower out of our strength will scatter and divide us which would frustrate God's building..

Happy WFW!!!

Your son did a great job! May this verse remind people that they can never reach God/heaven by themselves/work/effort. Only by His grace through Jesus Christ alone, we are reconciled to God and have a permanent home in heaven.

Great photo to go with that scripture! Your son made a good tower. I remember when my son used to do that, and soon now my grandsons will be doing that! Thanks for sharing.
