Bloggy Giveaway - Thieves Spray

Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Carnival Button

This giveaway is now closed. Thanks to all who participated. A winner will be announced in the next post.

This is my second time participating in the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival. Since my first giveaway generated over 100 visits to my blog, I decided to participate again. This time I will give away a one-ounce bottle of Thieves Spray from Young Living Essential Oils. I’m a consultant for Young Living, so if you have an interest in these essential oils or products, feel free to email me at oillady@charter.net.

Thieves® Spray is ideal for use on door handles, toilet seats, and any surface that needs cleansing to protect from dust, mold, and undesirable microorganisms. This small bottle is perfect for traveling or keeping in your purse or backpack. Caution: Not for use on infants or on sensitive areas of the body. The retail value is $10.53.

Young Living’s Thieves essential oil blend was created based on the historical account of four thieves in France who protected themselves from the black plague with cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics while robbing victims of the killer disease. When captured, they offered a lighter sentence in exchange for their secret recipe. Young Living’s proprietary Thieves oil blend includes clove, cinnamon bark, rosemary, lemon and Eucalyptus radiata and has been specially blended to offer the same kind of defense.

I’ve used the Thieves Spray to disinfect library books and repel ants, as well as deodorize bathrooms, nurseries, and other smelly places.

To enter, please leave a comment with either your blog or email address so that I can contact you if you win. Also, please let me know how you will use the Thieves Spray. Only one entry per person, please. This giveaway is open to US mailing addresses only.

The Carnival runs from April 21 to 25. I will draw a random winner on April 26.

Edit: In response to some of the comments received so far, I'd like to mention some other uses of the Thieves Spray and also a caution. I've used the Thieves Spray to sanitize and deodorize the inside and outside of Diaper Genies and garbage cans. I've also sprayed liberally in our van after our younger son "tossed his cookies." If you use Thieves Spray on a toilet seat, be sure to wipe the seat with a paper towel before sitting.

I love the story behind the product. I am always looking for natural products. I would use this on all of our doorknobs and in the downstairs bathroom. The kids are great germ sharers and I intend to stop that.

What a great product! I have 2 kids and work in a day care, so I think this would be handy in SO many different circumstances!

Interesting history of where the name came from. I would use it in public restrooms because the smell makes me want to vomit. I always dread touching the lock to unlock the bathroom stall. I use a piece of toilet paper to do it but it still skeeves me out!

michelle said...

Oh, I could so use this. Especially if it repels ants safely. We get them coming into our house in the most inopportune places. I am also a germophobe when it comes to public restrooms and would rather wait sometimes than use them, but that isn't always possible.

I would love to be entered in your giveaway.

I have a cat, we're planning on getting another and the house is under renovation right now so the living area (third floor) gets pretty funky as it is rather far removed from working plumbing. So anything that smells good and disinfects and isn't full of toxic chemicals is much needed!
